In the classification of moral values, the researcher uses 11 categories of moral values according to Hornby (2010). The method that is used in this study is a qualitative method. It is necessary to discuss more deeply how the author conveys moral values in this movie. A common theme in the latter part of the twentieth century has been to lament the moral state of American society and the decline of morality among youth. This study merely uses “The Adventure of Pinocchio,” a novel by Carlo Collodi, translated into English version by Carol Della Chiesa as the primary data source. The method of this study is qualitative research, which means it does not need statistical procedure to analyze the material. There are moral values argued by Linda & Eyre and the theory of children’s character building based on Lewis. To analyze this novel, the researcher uses two principles theory to find out the objectives of the studies. This study focuses on revealing the categories of moral value and describing the building children's character implied in this novel.
